Draculaura smiled at Frankie, adjusting her rear view mirror. “You know, it’s ghastly that I can’t see my own face! It sucks being a vampire…” she frowns before tapping her finger on her steering wheel. “Anyways, hurry up. I want to get some new shoes before our appointment!” she honks her horn loudly with a wide smile. 

Clawdeen finally convinced her brother to babysit her sister. She looked back at her parents’ bed and breakfast to see Clawd playing with his friends after all. He wasn’t making up an excuse. He really did mean it. Draculaura looked at Clawdeen and smiled. “So Clawd wanted to come.. was it because of me?” Claudeen frowned. “You have to stay away from my brother! He’s trouble and not good enough for you! You’ll find the right man candy soon enough, maybe even at the mall today!” Draculaura sulked as she drove on. Clawdeen fixed her make up in the mirror as they pulled into the mall parking lot.

“Hey hey!” she told her friend. “I was worried you wouldn’t be able to make it.” she smiled and complimented her friend on her outfit. She liked making others feel good about themselves. “So… what store are we going to first? Are we going to have time to eat? Are we getting our nails done? Feet done? Hair done? Facial? Massage?” she asked. Whenever Frankie got overexcited, she’d talk excessively. She noticed what she was doing and managed to stop. “Sorry…” she muttered. How embarrassing can a monster be?!  She looked at Draculaura and realized she was sad. “Hey! It’s not always about boys you know! We can go out looking for your Sweet 1600 Party Dress!!” she said excitedly as they reached the parking lot.
